While it's a good tip for customers looking to buy low-end Yahoo cam shows, it should be noted that there's a difference between asking a girl to verify her cam quality and asking for a "sneak peak" of her body. As someone who cams on a big network, I never do anything unless I'm being paid for it. Ever, period, no free anything. Why? I am constantly being requested to "prove myself" to a "potential customers" by changing outfits, getting naked, "masturbating a little", etc. There are countless numbers of guys who get off solely on promising a girl a paid show if she'll just strip for him and give him a "preview", and then signs off without buying anything. Cam girls know this, so advising customers to also require a "sneak peak" will most likely be met with resistance, and rightly so, since it's also the tactic of liars who just want some free tits and ass.

Paypal is not an option, and hasn't been for what, 5 years? Paypal will seize your funds and close your account if they find out that you're using it for anything remotely "adult". An angry customer or cam performer can easily report the other party and see their account closed and funds seized.

I've heard of people running payments through a CCBill account, but I'm not sure if that's up to snuff with CCBill's policies.

The real solution is for everyone to give up on the 1998-era habit of Yahoo camming and trying to be all underhanded and sketchy in how they pay and get paid. The quality of Yahoo's cam feature is absolutely awful, not the kind of real streaming video you'll get at big cam networks. With big networks, the customer can verify stream quality before whipping out a credit card, and the performer doesn't have to waste time giving guys "sneak peaks" to show that her cam actually works.

I'll almost never sing the praises of working for a big company over doing it yourself, but the Yahoo/Paypal thing is just too outdated to offer much of anything to anyone. It's like trying to sell homemade porn on Betamax tapes and telling customers to pay in pennies left in a jar at midnight at a nearby park. Sometimes technology and practicality trump indie-ness.
